It seemed that Barcelona Roque was ready for the end of the month to return to Brazilian football and to break his loan agreement with Real Betis in the middle season. However, Palmeiras has now stopped negotiations with the Blaugrana because of bureaucratic problems.
Roque, 19, arrived just over a year ago in Barcelona in exchange for € 30 million, but after a difficult six months at the club it was decided that he would spend the season in Loan at Real Betis. Los Verdiblancos has a purchase clause of € 25 million and an option to then extend his loan for the following season, but it was reported that they would not stand in the way of a deal.
But La Liga will do that. According to Andre Hernan in Brazil, as worn by Sport, who reports that Palmeiras has withdrawn from negotiations and the teenager gave up their selection framework before the end of the Brazilian transfer window on Friday this week. Roque had given the green light to the deal and personal conditions had agreed, where Roque became their best -paid player.
The reason is that La Liga says that they will not give his transfer permission for 'bureaucratic reasons', to do the breaking of his loan agreement with Betis. To continue the move, Barcelona Roque would have to register again before he leaves the club, and because they are outside of a transfer window, this is not allowed. That is why Barcelona cannot follow the agreement.
Palmeiras and Barcelona had reached an agreement for € 25 million in exchange for 80% of Roque's rights, so that they could earn back the money they spent to him in accounting conditions. The Blaugrana wanted to do the deal because they have already assumed that Roque will not work as their signing.
