Palmer hands Chelsea massive injury boost ahead of next week’s London derby

Cole Palmer trains on Friday for the first time since he instructs his muscle problem with Chelsea when he takes on Tottenham Hotspur in six days.

Mail Sport reported yesterday how Palmer had not participated in a session since he ran his setback, so that fans were worried that he would miss next week's seismic confrontation, but the playmaker is in Cobham today to participate.

The injury had forced Palmer to miss their last Premier League loss in Arsenal almost two weeks ago, because he was then unable to participate in Thomas Tuchel's and England for the world cup qualifications with Albania and Latvia.

Bluesbaas Enzo Maresca is also stimulated by the return of Nicolas Jackson and eventually gave him a striker to work with.

Despite the fact that he is in shape due to his high standards, Palmer is of vital importance for Chelsea's urge to a top four finish, and his figures can be helped by feeding a center ahead in Jackson.

It was a demanding season for the 22-year-old Englishman, who had started any other Premier League match for Chelsea prior to their 1-0 defeat at Arsenal.

Chelsea is looking for a strong run-in to confirm a return to the Champions League.

They are currently fourth in the table and spurs earlier in the season with 4-3 away from home in a comeback in which Palmer scored twice, including a Panenka penalty.
