GOAL machine Cole Palmer is set to become a small-time earner by trademarking his shivering celebration.
The 22-year-old has become one of the stars of the Premier League since his move from Manchester City to Chelsea in the summer of 2023.
During that time, he has become known as “Cold Palmer,” and he embraced the nickname with his “icy” celebration.
During the celebration, Palmer gestures that he is cold by rubbing his arms and puffing out his cheeks.
And The Sun reports that he has now moved to trademark both the name and the party.
Documents show he wants to use it to sell a number of different products, including clothing, alcohol, food, toys, razors, aftershave, diet drinks and cars.
The Englishman has submitted an official request to the government's Intellectual Property Office, which includes a video of the celebration.
Palmer first celebrated the occasion during a 3-2 win over Luton last December and it has become a regular occurrence with the midfielder sitting third in the Premier League Golden Boot this season with 11 goals.
The England international revealed after the match against Luton that he got the idea from fellow City Academy graduate Morgan Rodgers, who had celebrated in a similar way the week before when he scored for Middlesbrough against West Brom.
He told the now Aston Villa man that he would do the same the next time he scored and has now internalized that.
Footballers are no strangers to typical celebrations, with Cristiano Ronaldo's Siu perhaps the most famous of them all.
Gareth Bale has previously trademarked his heart-shaped celebration, while Kylian Mbappe has done the same with his arms folded.
This isn't the first business move Palmer has made off the pitch with the player recently part of a Burberry campaign.
Palmer was specifically selected to model their 'Wool Cashmere Duffle Coat' – priced at £2,490 – in a video titled 'The Duffle with Cole Palmer'.
The Blues star did not feature in Thursday's Europa Conference League win over Astana as he was not included in their squad for the tournament.
He scored twice from the spot in his last appearance, a dramatic 4-3 win at Tottenham on Sunday.
Palmer fully lived up to his 'cold' status with the second, producing a beautifully executed Panenka penalty.
