PSG -Midfender Renato Sanches (28) is expected to become a member of Panathinaikos on loan, according to a report from L'Equipe.
The Portugal International was interesting for Trabzonspor. The Türkish Süper Lig-outfit was advertised as the favorite to land Sanches, but the outlet understands that the former midfielder of Lille and Bayern München will eventually sign for the side established in Athens. RMC Sport adds that Sanches preferred a move to Panathinaikos instead of Trabzonspor.
Sanches returned to Paris this summer after on loan last season to Benfica, where he was shown 21 times in all competitions. However, the Portugal International is not integrated into the Luis Enrique team and was placed in the 'loft' of the club instead – the group of unwanted players who are expected to leave before the end of the transfer window.
Sanches, whose contract with PSG runs until 2027, joined the Ligue 1 champions from Lille in 2022, but has difficulty setting up in the Parc des Princes.
