The UFC debut of former two-division champion Patricio Pitbull was difficult to fast because of the reluctance of a former champion to fight.
After an abrupt end of his Bellator official period, Patricio Pitbull will make his UFC debut in April at UFC 314 in Miami. He returns to De Kooi who wants to make a statement to start this new chapter of his career of his career against the former interim-featherweight title holder Yair Rodriguez, in which figures are a high-doctane matchup.
The addition of Pitbull to the featherweight division of the UFC adds a different dimension to the title photo. His debut comes after Ilia Topuria had left the belt of featherweight to go to lightweight and open the door for the UFC 314 head event between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes.

Patricio 'Pitbull' mocked Aljamain Sterling for alleged rejection of debut opponent Slot
During a recent interview with MMA fights, Pitbull Aljamain Sterling accused a booking for UFC 314 quickly.
'Suddenly they asked if I would fight [Aljamain] Sterling in March, I said I was in it, but he ran, “said Pitbull. “Then they offered me Yair Rodriguez, but he didn't respond. I sent him privately. “What's going on, brother? Where is your Mexican pride? “… He said it would be very satisfying to welcome me to the organization.
“But when the UFC contacted, he turned it off and asked for a ranked opponent … let's see if he will continue to fight or get injured.”
At the moment, Sterling did not respond to the allegations of Pitbull. Sterling recently lost to Movsar Evloev on UFC 310 in December.
The Bellator/PFL release of Pitbull came after months of tensions to build with the promotional buyer. Aaron Pico and other top names leave the PFL about tense relationships with copper and fight inactivity.

Pitbull left Bellator as one of the top names of the promotion and is perhaps the biggest hunter to adorn the Bellator cage. During his promotional term of office, Pitbull defeated people like Michael Chandler, AJ McKee and Juan Archuleta.
A victory over Rodriguez may possibly catapult Pitbull in the title shot interview. At the age of 37, a slow climb to the title mix is not what Pitbull wants for his UFC career, in the footsteps of colleague Bellator Castaway Michael 'Venom' page and others.
Sterling and Pitbull may be on a collision course, depending on the result of the upcoming debut of Pitbull and a timeline for the return fight of Sterling.
