Barcelona wants to confirm the arrival of Marcus Rashford in particular after obtaining a loan agreement with Manchester United.
While the Saga continues to roll in the UK and Spain, the last update indicates that Barcelona has agreed to sign Rashford from United, with the 27-year-old attacker landing in Catalonia as part of a seasonal loan with an option to buy, presumably in the region of € 30-35 m.
Barcelona increased their focus on bringing in Rashford in the past week after a mixed summer in the transfer market.
Rashford will act as cover for Raphinha to the left of the Barcelona attack, after the club had previously chased deals for Nico Williams and Luis Diaz.
He is expected to fly to Catalonia and completes his medically before signing all suitable documents in the coming days to seal the finality of the switch.
Hansi Flick is hopeful that he can include Rashford in his team for their pre-season tour through Japan and South Korea, but that remains uncertain at this stage.
Despite their continuous financial issues, Barcelona is willing to bank roles a move for Rashford, and reports from the Times claim that they will cover his full £ 325,000 a week as part of the loan.
A move away from Manchester has certainly looked like since the start of the summer, but former United teammate Paul Pogba has introduced himself to support Rashford.
Pogba recently returned to football after a ban, member of Monaco, and the Frenchman believes that the treatment of Red Devils of Rashford has been unfair everywhere.
“This is a crazy situation. But I am happy for him because they removed his number in Manchester,” he said.
“Manchester United losing a great player. Bad luck for them.
“It's great for Barcelona to be honest. I'm not even talking about United, because they have bought a few new players and the new manager wants to do his thing, I think.”
