Paul Scholes apparently focused on Ruben Amorim's tactics after Manchester United saved their blushes against Leicester in the FA Cup on Friday evening.
Despite the delivery of an underwhelming display in Old Trafford, United came from behind to secure a place in the fifth round after Joshua Zirkzee scored the Equalizer and Harry Magire went home the winner in the stopping time.
Wing Back Patrick Dorgu, signed in a Lecce £ 29.4 million deal in the transfer window of January, was formed bizarre on the right, despite the fact that he mainly played on the other side for his former club.
Dorgu pulled the eye during the first 45 minutes, but noticed that he was addicted during the break, with Alejandro Garnacho in his place before he inspired United to a difficult change with an electric cameo.
But after the game, Scholes made his disagreement clear with the overall setup.
When he went to Instagram, he wrote: “Reversed wingbacks … You first saw it at OT.”
Scholes quickly seemed to remove the post about his story.
Amorim later defended his surprise decision to move Dorgu to the right and said: 'He often played in Lecce on the right. That is one of the characteristics that we pay a lot to, to have a player like him.
“He was a bit anxious in the first touch with the ball. It is another competition for him, different speed of the game, but he did well.
“He has room, he has strength, he is going to improve a lot. And we, as a team, we have to play better to help these new boys perform at the right level.
“But the position, and you can see in Wyscout that he played on both sides.”
Asked if Dorgu can play again on the right for United, Amorim replied: 'Yes.
'Again, if you see the history of Dorgu in the last team, he also played many games on the right. And we must have Wingers who can play both sides.
'So I think it's really a good, important thing, because sometimes you need a left foot on the right to come in and connect in the other way.
'And sometimes you need the right foot [player] To connect and to cross more balls, so that's how it is. '
