Add UFC 318 star Paulo Costa to the list of hunters who are interested in competing in the White House next year.
Former UFC title Challenger Paulo Costa returns this Saturday to the Octagon on UFC 318 in New Orleans. The former rival of Israel Adesanya is confronted with Roman Kopylov in a crucial matchup in the UFC Middleweight Division.
Although Costa is not watching Kopylov this weekend, he is well prepared to make a large callout with a victory while focusing on a potential fight in the White House.

Paulo Costa wants to decline it with previously planned rival in the White House
US President Donald Trump made the headlines earlier this month when he announced that the UFC will organize an event during the fourth July weekend in the White House next year. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the plans in recent interviews, because top names such as Jones and Conor McGregor threw their names in the hat.
White still has a big name in Costa that is interested in arranging a long -term beef in the octhoek.
During a recent performance on the Ariel Helwani show, Costa was asked about his ideal opponent for a potential UFC booking in the White House.
“Chimaev. This son of Ab -, I want to fight this guy,” said Costa.
'It must happen … I will mention his name [out] After UFC 318, if God gives me this victory … He has to fight me and I have to fight against him. Because, look, I tried to fight him for a long time. Since our beef in the UFC Pi, he has been avoided me to fight for a long time. He always says no, and the UFC has tried to put together this competition for about two years …
“The UFC said he doesn't want to fight … and the week I received my operation, he sent a message to my girl,” Costa continued. “He behaved like a woman, treated her [badly]. Said “I'm going to beat your husband” … He is so emotional and behaves like a woman. I respect women, but a man cannot behave like a woman and be so erratic. He loses control very easily, and that is the kind of things that women do, not men. So I don't respect him. “
Khamzat Chimaev will be confronted next month with UFC Middleweight Champion Dric Du Plessis in the UFC 319 Main Event. The undefeated competition returns to the Octagon after submitting former title holder Robert Whittaker on UFC 308 in October.
Chimaev and Costa had to fight on UFC 294 before Costa withdrew due to injury. Chimaev then defeated former UFC champion Welterweight Kamaru Usman in a short-notice booking.
Khamzat Chimaev can retire on UFC 319 if he wins the middleweight belt
If Chimaev earned the UFC mid -weight title next month, a top candidate believes that the undefeated star could abruptly withdraw from fighting. Caio Borralho shared a growing rumor that Chimaev plans to hang the gloves with a victory over UFC 319.
Costa wants to return this weekend in the win column after a loss for Sean Strickland on UFC 302 last year. His last victory came against former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold on UFC 278.
Costa and Chimaev may be on a collision course after their upcoming fights.
