Pedri contract negotiations with Barcelona approach finish line

After his agents met with Barcelona sporting director Deco, Cadena SER reports that an agreement is close and that he will extend his deal with the Blaugrana. Their information is that it is only minor details that need to be settled on a new contract that will last until 2030.

The 22-year-old has been struggling with injuries for some time over the past two years, but is finally fit again this season and shows that he is the beating heart of Barcelona's midfield. Hansi Flick started Pedri seventeen times in nineteen games this season, and he played in every game. He has three goals and two assists to his name so far this season, but his contribution goes well beyond those numbers.
