Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola hopes that Rodri will be able to play in Club's World Cup while continuing his recovery of an ACL injury.
The Ballon d'Or winner sustained the injury in the 2-2 draw of September with Arsenal, but recently returned to the individual individual training.
Rodri's absence has been felt this season, with the title of the city hopes for a long time. They are fifth in the Premier League, 22 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Speaking prior to the FA Cup quarter-final collision from his side to Bournemouth, Guardiola said about Rodri with the Club World Cup: “I don't know, I hope so, but I don't know. It would be nice if he could play tomorrow.
“But we don't want to make the wrong decisions now and take a step back. The doctors said it would take seven or eight months, now it is six or six or a half. He already behaves well on the field, but in competition it is very different.
“We will see it, but we will take it step by step. We will not say:” We must focus on the club world cup, “and then lose him again for many months. We must be sure that he is doing well.”
The winner of the extensive summer tournament, which takes place from 14 June to 13 July, deserves a huge winning bonus of £ 97 million, but Guardiola does not feel that someone in the city is worth after their frustrating season.

“We don't earn it this season. We don't earn a bonus this season. If we win, I don't know how much but it's for the club,” Guardiola said.
“The manager, the players, the backroom staff, we don't earn it. Even a watch.”
With the confirmed split summer transfer windows, Kevin De Bruyne, who was out of the contract at the end of June, could leave the club prior to the tournament.
However, the Stadsbaas says that De Bruyne's contract situation “is between the club and Kevin and his agent.”
Before that time, Guardiola hopes to seal the qualification of the Champions League and win the FA Cup, but City will be confronted with a strict test against the impressive Bournemouth side of Andoni Iraola in the Vitality Stadium.
The dramatic decline of the city in form saw them lose on the same land at the beginning of November, and Guardiola is well aware of the threat they pose.
“I would not say they are chaotic. I would say they have a specific way of playing and it works with the players and the ideas they have,” he added.
“Each team plays with their beliefs in a specific way, and they are doing really well. Other teams are more direct, other teams want to cross more, others want to win and run the ball.”
Bournemouth's victory over City in November was the first victory of the Cherries in the citizens in all competitions, after 21 earlier meetings.
