Pep Guardiola said he is going to “stop” after leaving Manchester City while he refused to exclude himself from management.
Guardiola, 54, has been with Man City since 2016 and signed a contract extension with the club last November with the Etihad until 2027.
But the Spanish manager, who is generally considered one of the greatest of all time, could stop when that contract comes to an end.
Guardiola admitted that he needs a break from the technical area when he leaves the city after he started his management career about 18 years ago.
He said to ESPN Brazil: “I want people to remember me the way they want.
“After my contract with City I will stop. I know for sure. I don't know if I'm going to retire, but I'm going to take a break. I don't know how I want to be remembered.
“All coaches want to win so that we can have a memorable job, but I believe that the fans of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City had fun watching my teams.
“I don't think we should ever live about whether we are remembered.
“If we die, our families cry for two or three days and then it is, you have forgotten it. In the career of coaches there are good and bad, the most important thing is that the good ones are remembered longer.
'I will tell you that the most important thing is not what people think of you. After all, we have been very good as football players.

“There are new challenges as a coach. I don't know what will happen in the future and in the end it doesn't matter.”
However, the Stadsbaas has not excluded that he will expand his stay in Manchester even further than his current conditions of 2027.
Investigated his comments about Sky Sports, he said: “When I finished my time here, a year, two years, three years, five years, six years.”
Guardiola has won 18 trophies as a man city boss and has gathered 40 large titles in his government with City, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Among those distinctions are six Premier League titles, three La Liga titles, three Bundesliga titles, 10 domestic cups and three champions competitions.
In addition to supervising teams to success as a collective, he is also recognized on three separate occasions as the world's best coach by FIFA.
Guardiola has also written history several times, in which he is the leading man City to four consecutive Prem titles and became the first manager to see his side achieved more than 100 points in a single Prem campaign.
City has had a non -characteristic season this period, early in -law conflicts and are in a struggle for European football.
However, they have still succeeded in earning a place in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace -a chance for Guardiola's third FA Cup success.
Discussing the Flow-PAR campaign, where City saw only one win in 13 games this winter, Guardiola said: “It was a year of great learning.
“There is not just one reason why this year was difficult, there are many details, such as wrong decisions for me. So it has been a year of great learning for me personally.
“People think we learn more from defeats than victories. But I also think I learn from victories.
“I knew that there would be a moment that we would fall, but we fell a lot. We did not expect that we would be that far, but we can't win them all.
“What we did for 10 or nine years was exceptional, but now we have to sit down and try to learn to understand what we should produce in the future.”
