‘Personal reason’ behind Mane skipping Senegal’s match against England revealed

The real reason behind the recent absence of Sadio Mane of the Senegalese national team has been revealed according to a report.

The former Ster Liverpool and Bayern Munich was not included in the team of his country for their upcoming friendly collisions against Ireland on Friday and England next Tuesday.

In the 13 years since his senior debut for Senegal, Mane has never rejected a call-up to play for his nation.

Not to mention, he played all 90 minutes of Al-Nassr's 3-2 victory against Al-Fateh on 26 May, a match in which he scored and did not show any signs of injury. This made his absence even more confusing.

However, it has now been reported that Mane appeared in Mina, Saudi Arabia this week.

The 33 -year -old is in the region to carry out the Hajj pilgrimage – a mandatory religious duty for Muslims and one of the five pillars of Islam – according to Senenews.

Mane is a pious Sunni Muslim, just like most of his countrymen. It is estimated that Senegal has a Muslim population of 18.4 million, which forms 97.2 percent of its citizens.

When asked why Mane was not part of the team of his nation this week, Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw just called it a 'personal decision' and did not allow the attacker to lie on his Hajj pilgrimage.

Thiaw remained vague and said: “As a coach I respect it. The most important thing is the team. '

Senegal will have to do it without their best player ever, who has been in good shape this season, 17 goals and 12 assists records in 43 games in all competitions this season.

Liverpool left Liverpool in the summer of 2022 after a disappointing run-in where the club saw the Premier League and Champions League success, after he was on track for an unprecedented four-fold.

The Senegalese attacker would eventually become a member of Bayern in a deal with a first £ 27 million.

While the Bavarian Club claimed the competition title in the only season of Mane in the Bundesliga, his time in the Allianz Arena was characterized by an often controversial relationship with both his teammates and the then Bayern Manager Julian Nagelsmann.

These issues would come to a peak during a bastard of a dressing room after a Champions League defeat of Manchester City who reportedly saw mane-to-teammate Leroy Sane punching.

Mane now fits for Al-Nassr with people like Cristiano Ronaldo, Aymeric Laporte and Jhon Duran.
