Petr Yan is currently not interested in combating the recent title -Umar Nurmagomedov's day -to -day agent and he has made his rise in the promotion.
Last Saturday, former Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan returned to the Octagon when he took on the rising competitioner Marcus Mcghee at the UFC Abu Dhabi Co-Main event.
After having had three losses in a row, 'no Mercy' was in a strange place in his career. However, he bounced back from his losses with two impressive victories and expanded it to three in a row after achieving the unanimous decision victory over Mcghee.
And after his closely fought decision gain, the 32-year-old called for a title Rematch against Merab Dvalishvili after he had unveiled earlier this week that he would play the Back-Uprol for the UFC 320 Co-Main event.

Petr Yan reverses the fight against Umar Nurmagomedov while he is taking his UFC rise
Despite gaining the impressive victory to make three in a row, some fans believe that Yan has to fight again before he gets a title shot.
And with that it has been called for to fight against the recent Bantamweight title candidate Umar Nurmagomedov, who has not fought against Dvalishhvili since his loss of UFC 311.
'No Mercy' Yan, however, is apparently uninspired by a potential fight against his countryman, and has struck the rise of Nurmagomedov in the UFC and touches his family relationships with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev.
“Well, Umar lost his last fight, he didn't have any fight yet, because they have the option to wait and not to train at all, it can be a year, six months. I have to act, work, make the way free with my work. Neither my brother nor my sisters gave me anything,” said Yan Ushatayka.
Could Petr Yan weigh as a backup at UFC 320?
After having stated his interest to weigh as the back -up for the UFC 320 title defense of Dvalishvili against Cory Sandhagen, who came out of his fight against Mcghee without injuries, it is certainly a possibility.
However, as proven in recent months, weighing will not guarantee that Yan will be the next title shot and the weight cut so quickly after his UFC Abu Dhabi fight may not be the best idea.
