Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk left fans in stitches after she had drained Tottenham Richarlison during the semi-final of Thursday Carabao Cup.
With Spurs 1-0 on aggregated in the Anfield collision, the tensions ran high from the start.
Only three minutes after the game, Van Dijk was lucky to avoid a punishment after elbowing Richarlison.
After a check, it was assessed that there was no violent behavior.
A few minutes later, the defender got better from his opponent of the ball.
After the pollution of Richarlison just outside the Tottenham penalty area, Van Dijk stood out his hand to help the Brazilian off the floor.
Just when the Spurs man was about to take it, he pulled his arm away before he ran back in his own half.
Fans responded quickly, with one person going to X to write: “Van Dijk was absolutely done Richarlison 
.”
Another noticed: “This is the kind of small that I can relate to stand.”
A third said, “Just when I thought it was not human to love the man more, he will deduct this. Incredible.”

Liverpool then won the match 4-0 thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Van Dijk.
They then progressed to the Carabao Cup final with a 4-1 victory over aggregate.
