PFL head sends Kayla Harrison a classy message ahead of UFC 316 title fight after messy MMA split

PFL founder Donn Davis reversed months of bad blood for himself and Kayla Harrison for UFC 316.

Kayla Harrison will cement herself as one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time while she is preparing for the UFC Bantamweight Championship this summer. Harrison and UFC Bantamweight Champion Julianna Peña Co-Headline A stacked map on UFC 316, with a main event Rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O'Malley.

After two dominant victories to start her UFC official period, Harrison gets the Title Fight Spotlight on UFC 316. She separated with the PFL last year after a long, decorated term of office with the promotion.

The Harrison PFL room was not well received by the managers of the competition, including co-founder Donn Davis. Davis accused Harrison of 'running' of high -profile fights with people such as Cris Cyborg and Larissa Pacheco.

Donn Davis responds to Kayla Harrison's latest comments about PFL Split

In a recent performance on the Ariel Helwani show, Harrison appealed her relationship with her former employers.

“I have no bad will, nothing really negative to say, but it was time for me to go,” Harrison said. “Why should they [support me]? I think they are really bitter, especially one person, but I don't spend time thinking about it … It is always the people who are in power that when they don't get their way, they are struggling with it.

“Donn is still angry with me or something, I don't know … but I always try to stay with social media.”

Despite Harrison's comments about avoiding her social media pages, it was not long before Davis tackles her comments and a surprising olive branch from UFC 316.

In a recent tweet, Davis recalled his first meeting with Harrison prior to her upcoming UFC title fight.

“2017 PIC previously [Kayla Harrison]The first Pro MMA fight … I never had any doubt and introduced her that night as “future world champion”, Davis posted.

“Kayla is 2x [PFL] Champion and in June it will be [UFC] Champion. UFC Women's Division has never tested her. '

At the moment Harrison has not responded to Davis's warm post.

Harrison is not the only big figure that the PFL leaves in recent months. Featherweight Ster Aaron Pico is reportedly prepared for his UFC debut later this year after he has requested his release from the PFL.

Megan Anderson warns Kayla Harrison of dramatic weight that is cut for UFC 316

In anticipation of a new brutal reduction to the limit of the Bantam weight, the former title challenge Megan Anderson was concerned about the health of Harrison in the long term. Harrison silenced her opponents to successfully make weight twice in her UFC official period, but must cut an extra pound to be eligible to fight for the belt.

Harrison fought on lightweight for the majority of her PFL official period before participating in featherweight in her competitive final at the PFL championship 2023. She defeated Aspen Ladd by unanimous decision.

At the moment the tensions between Harrison and the PFL have cooled while she prepares for the fight of her life.
