Pisa president Corrado hoping to keep Inzaghi after promotion clinched

Pisa's promotion of series B was confirmed during the weekend, with former AC Milan coach Inzaghi led the team to the top flight again.

Corrado told Radio Anch'io Lo Sport: “We have appreciated this project with a planning that started with the structure of the company. The sporting result has never been an obsession, but a consequence of the work. The continuity of the project would have caused damage.

“We know that Serie A has different values, but we have not arrived in the Serie A with an adult team. We have built this promotion through the discovered young people, through our 80 scouts that travel around the world. We know that we have to add other things.

“Compared to other teams that have also spent a lot in the Ber B, we have made more virtually targeted investments, we are the second team in the Serie B championship for the number of players borrowed from the national teams.”

If Inzaghi receives an important offer …?

And on the future of Inzaghi he explained: “Only God knows. Teams like Pisa can launch players and coaches. Pippo today regained what he had lost. We have been approaching to work together for several years, but perhaps before the circumstances were not right.

“I hope that Pippo will stay here for a while. If there are more important offers, we will see.

“But if we have become a training field for players, coaches and sports directors compared to more famous teams, this means that we work well.”
