A Premier League manager is reportedly informally agreed to take the reins at the Saudi-Arab club Al-Hilal.
One Saudi outlet claims that the manager is willing to participate before the Club World Cup starts in June.
Al -Hilal is said to be waiting for the reaction of another candidate – which they prefer – before formalizing their move for the Premier League man.
The manager in question is none other than the Marco Silva of Fulham.
Mail Sport reported in 2023 that Silva had rejected a mega offer of £ 40 million to manage Al-Ahli for two years.
But now it seems that the temptation of Saudi money has returned if Arriyadiyah can be believed.
Talksport has also reported that Silva gets stuck when signing a new contract due to the interest of Saudi.
They claim that Al-Hilal is following the internal Milan manager Simone Inzaghi, who has qualified the Italian giants for a second Champions League final in three years.
The Silva deal at Craven Cottage expires in 2026.
He took over in Fulham in 2021, led them to the championship title in his first season and since stabilizing at Premier League level.
The cottagers could still be eligible for Europe if they are 11th in the Premier League, a position that could be sufficient to earn a place in continental football.
A series of three defeats in their last four has somewhat tempered their hope, but they are only two points behind the eighth placed Bournemouth.
If Silva joined Al-Hilal, he would work with the former Fulham striker Alexsandar Mitrovic and former Prime Minister League stars Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves and Joao Annalo.
The side, majority owned by the sovereign power fund of Saudi, has also made a lucrative offer to the Captain Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United.
Mail Sport exclusively revealed that they can afford to pay the Portuguese about £ 65 million per season.
However, the Fernandes camp has not yet responded.
