PL sides ‘monitoring’ Maignan who ‘could leave’ if they fail to qualify for UCL

Two leading competitions Parties watch AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan prior to a potential summer movement, according to a report.

It is now only a matter of weeks until the transfer window is reopened, and Premier League parties will be busy again to be busy because they offer to set up their squadrons for the 2025-26 season.

For many parties it remains unclear which competitions they will play next season, and two sides for which this is the case, will be reported in for Maignan.

The goalkeeper is the first choice of Milan, but the Italian giants are struggling for shape this season, which is currently in ninth place in the Serie A and with a serious risk of missing the Champions League.

This can lead to some of the most important players of the club leaving, including people like Maignan, who are advertised as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

And according to TeamTalk via Football Italia, he could be well on his way to the Premier League – with Chelsea and Aston Villa Keen.

This season Chelsea in particular had difficulty in a regular keeper, in which both Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen enjoy time as no. 1 but sometimes guarantee their own struggles.

They can go on the market very well in the summer for a new stop, and Maignan would fit into the account – although his Milan contract still runs until 2026 and it is assumed that discussions took place during an extension.

Maignan also has the side of the side, but would like to stay in Europe Premier Competition next season. Milan reached the play-offs this season, but lost 2-1 aggregated against Feyenoord.

Chelsea or Villa can now guarantee that at the moment. With the Premier League that secures an extra place for next season's competition, they have to finish in the top five of the table this season. Chelsea is currently fourth, while Villa is ninth.

As an alternative, Villa would be eligible by winning the Champions League, a competition that they are currently in the quarterfinals.

De Villans would be the less chance of signing Maignan, since Emiliano Martinez is currently their No. 1 and has given them no reason to make a change.

It is proposed that the 29-year-old, who played 41 times for Villa this season, could be available for around £ 33.4 million.
