PL winner blasts ‘bitter’ Arteta – ‘You can see why people don’t like Arsenal’

Mikel Arteta was attacked for his reaction to the exit of Arsenal from the Champions League through the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, with the Gunners Trofeeloos for another year

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is 'bitter' branded by triple Premier League winner Robert Huth for his response to the defeat of the Gunners against Paris Saint-Germain. The Ligue 1 champions booked their place in the Champions League final on Wednesday evening.

That was at the expense of Arsenal, with Luis Enrique's side aggregated the Premier League team 3-1. After the game, Arteta claimed that his side had been the better team over the two legs, despite the score of only once during the 180 minutes.

PSG owed keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma thanks to a number of important rescues. But the French giants were a good prize for their victory and are now favorites to win the competition for the first time.

Arteta claimed that even the PSG Bank agreed that the Gunners deserved to go in front of them, something that Enrique denied. But the Arsenal -Baas was adamelable in his vision of the draw.

“I say that and they say that because they (psg) just told me that,” said Arteta. “First of all, congratulations for the fact that they are in the final. Speaking of the merits, I think we will earn much more.

“If you analyze both games, who has been the best player, the MVP, is the same player, the goalkeeper. The Champions League is decided in the boxes and it has won the game for them, because of course after 20 minutes and whatever happened in London, the result should have been very different.

“So I can take a lot of positives and I am very proud of the team. The team I have seen today is probably one of the best, if not the best team in Europe. It gives me so much proud, but at the same time I am so upset, so irritated that we have not been able to do it.”

Arteta raised eyebrows with his comments and former Chelsea and Leicester -star Huth has now hit the Arsenal boss. The German even believes that they can have a negative effect on the Gunners for the rest of the season.

“Yes, a bit of a ridiculous comment, right?” Huth told Talksport. “It is clear that at least two better than she does. I think that kind of comments, you can see why people don't love Arsenal. If you listen to it, you will find it so frustrating.

“If you lose, shake your hand, go further and wish them the very best and then go through it. But these comments don't help. Warmth of the moment, perhaps, that he has been lost twice for a better team.

“But I find it difficult to understand how he came to that conclusion. Because they were defeated well about two games. Arsenal had opportunities and Donnarumma did some good saves, but he is for that, right?

“Declan Rice had an incredible game in Madrid, but nobody said,” You had declan in your team, that's why you won. ” I think that kind of conversation you have in the changing rooms with your team afterwards when you think you were better than the other side.

“But to send it to everyone to listen to it worldwide, is wrong. If he says things like that, the reason we are talking about it because he said it. The next game in the competition, there is even more pressure on the team. With the second at stake, teams they chase, it is just more pressure on Arsenal.”
