“I was small, weak and had crooked teeth,” known Cristiano Ronaldo once his 18-year-old himself who arrived in Old Trafford in 2003.
But now the 40 -year -old football -superster who – finally – suggested to old partner Georgina Rodriguez with an obscene diamond ring this week, far from weak. He is not small either. And his teeth are certainly no longer crooked.
Since he varies to the stage in Manchester United as a spotty teenager with Gappy Smile, Ronaldo – who is worth a reported $ 1 billion – has undergone a transformation on his journey to cement himself as one of the best football players in history.
Ronaldo, now his trade for Saudi side AL – Nassr, is a chiseled copy of a man whose imposing physique has secured him five Ballon d'Or Awards – and an underwear modeling work on the side.
His powerful, high intensity conditioning regime is no secret, but that does not mean that the Portuguese international has not had a helping hand.
In the 22 years since his debut in Old Trafford, the attacker is said to have undergone several plastic surgery procedures to perfect his colossal appearance. That is according to Dr. Elie Levine, one of the best plastic surgeons in New York City.
Ronaldo's representatives did not respond to requests for comments.
Although Dr. Levine did not investigate or treated him, the first thing that strikes him before and after photos of Ronaldo is the 'significant changes' in his nose.
Dr. Levine, the director of plastic surgery in plastic surgery and dermatology of NYC, believes that Ronaldo's nasal bridge is more 'refined' and that the side walls of the nose 'are considerably narrowed'.
“This is consistent with a rhinoplasty where not only tip work was done – because the tip is certainly more refined – but the entire upper part and the dorsum is also much more sculpted,” he says the Daily Mail. “It indicates that in addition to probably cartilage work there is a big chance that his nasal bones have been broken and reformed.”
One of Ronaldo's most striking features – and the most obvious difference over the years – comes in the form of his blinding smile.
Ronaldo gathered carefully for the first time in the United Kingdom with brackets, crowds, holes and discoloration in his grin – but after just two years at United the veneer seems to have improved his smile.
Yet Dr. Levine that the dental work of Ronaldo may not have ended with the porcelain coverings.
“Before his gums were shown, but later you don't see it at all,” says Dr. Levine. “It certainly speaks for something that reduces the amount of dental mesh show.”
Dr. Levine explains that there are two ways to tackle the gum problem. The first is botox combined with veneer. However, he believes that Ronaldo may also have undergone surgical procedure to reduce the upper gum area.
“He may have reduced some of the bone in that area and moved that entire upper area higher, which can also come from that kind of gumy smile,” he says.
Apart from his dazzling teeth, one of Ronaldo's most distinctible facial features is of course his shiny, smooth forehead, of which Dr. Levine claims that it is too perfect for a man who enters his 40s.
Ronaldo's lower eyelids, cheeks and foreheads look unspoilt for a 40-year-old, which means that there is a good chance that the International Soccer Star Botox has had to rid of the lines and Crow's feet in its upper surface, the surgeon explains.
Botox uses a toxin to paralyze a muscle under the skin, which means it does not move and deepens wrinkles in the skin.
In general it takes three to four months and costs around $ 180 to $ 750 per session.
The same can apparently be said for Ronaldo's flawless high cheekbones, of which Dr. Levine believes that it is 'being supplemented'.
“It is not so much that he looks different in his cheeks than he at 18 or 19, but he doesn't look worse,” Dr. Levine out.
'It comes down to being thin and he is fit – and that is more like a compliment than an insult. The problem is that when you are 40 years old and you are thin and you are fit, you generally lose a little volume in that area.
'The fact that he has maintained it expresses a bit to volume. So although it looks great, it can be fillers, it can be a fat transfer, it can be a number of things. '
However, the secret of Ronaldo's wrinkle -free appearance may not be limited to the injections. Dr. Levine claims that an eyebrow lift could also have helped him look better at the age of 40 than at the age of 18.
Dr. Levine believes that Ronaldo may have gone under the knife for an endoscopic eyebrow lift, which, in combination with botox and possible laser -resurfacing, looks 'clean, neat and renewed'.
“In general, there are five small incisions in the hairline area, so as long as you have a hair, you can easily hide that,” Dr. Levine out. “It's one of my favorite procedures, because it's essentially scars.”
And Ronaldo certainly has the lush locks that are needed to hide possible scars – but he may have thanked a different procedure.
He could have had a PRP treatment that uses a concentration of your own platelets to stimulate hair follicles and to promote hair growth or even a small hair transplant, according to Dr. Levine.
“If you look at his hairline, it is 100 percent unchanged,” says Dr. Levine over Ronaldo's thick, dark locks. 'There is almost no change when you take a closer look at it.
“Could it be that he has the greatest hair in the world? Absolute. It's possible. But it is also possible that he has done a kind of work along the way.
'It really doesn't look like there is a recession. Even for people who are described as great hair genetics, the temples generally find out a bit and you get a bit of a widow. '
Dr. Levine estimates that the total costs of the alleged Ronaldo procedures can amount to more than $ 100,000 and even push to $ 250,000.
“I would say that it is going to be going to do well,” says Dr. Levine. 'What I mean to do good is to do work if someone would benefit from it and look at natural, great and great.
'The problem that people encounter is that they try to do too much too quickly. But if you slowly do small things for many years, it can look very natural and great. '
That, he claims, is what Ronaldo distinguishes from another worldwide Sporticon: Tom Brady.
The 48-year-old NFL legend has also been the subject of nip-en-tuck rumors, especially since he started his 10-year-old, $ 375 million deal with FOX Sports as an analyst last year.
But unlike Ronaldo, who apparently made small adjustments for a longer period, Dr. Levine that Brady may have hurried through procedures to be in peak shape for his broadcast debut, based on watching at the photo and video of him.
“Tom, other than possibly doing a lot of hair transplantation at a young age, did not do much to probably the retirement age or close by,” Dr. claims. Levine. “Until that moment it did much more in a short period in a short period, which looked unnatural to me.”
All this evokes a matter of vanity.
Former Daily Mail columnist Peter Crouch previously revealed that Ronaldo would admire his naked body in the dressing room mirrors during his time at United.
“Rio Ferdinand would tell us stories about how Cristiano Ronaldo would be naked in front of the mirror in front of the mirror, let his hand walk through his hair and said:” Wow. I am so beautiful! “,” Wrote the former striker of England and Liverpool in a Daily Mail -Colom 2018.
'The other United players would try to set him up. “Whatever. Leo Messi is a better player than you.” And he would accumulate and smile his shoulders again. “Ah yes. But Messi doesn't look like that”. '
And a large part of Ronaldo's success comes down to his daily routine and how he takes care of his body.
He has his own cryotherapy room in his house and, on the eve of his 40th birthday in February, he posted a photo of himself on Instagram with $ 5,400 cryo compression boots to help his muscle recovery and keep him at the top of his game.
Ronaldo also spends up to four hours a day in the gym, five days a week.
A mixture of interval training with high intensity (HIIT), sprinting and cycling are the order of the day. He is often accompanied by his partner Georgina, 31, while his son Cristiano JR is also known to train next to him.
Ronaldo's diet is also meticulous.
He does not touch sugar or carbonated drinks. Instead, he feeds on chicken, fish and fresh vegetables and only drinks black coffee. Needless to say, alcohol is a no-go.
And then there are bizarre sleeping habits.
Ronaldo swears by sleeping in five cycles of 90 minutes to imitate the natural rhythms of his body, giving quality priority to quantity.
And by his side, Georgina, his partner of nine years he has finally stopped.
The Argentinian Spanish model, 31, confirmed their engagement in an Instagram post, wrote: 'Yes, I do. In this and in all my life. '
The couple has been together since 2016 and has daughters Alana, seven and two -year -old Bella. She is also the stepmother of the other three children of Ronaldo.
And even though they are her senior for nine years, thanks to his multiple efforts to hold on to his childhood, the football player looks just as young.
