
Celtic gave Bayern Munich a huge fear in the Allianz Arena while the German giants scraped past the Scottish champions with a stopping time goal.
There were some bitter disappointments of the Nervy -home side and the visitors were some monumental efforts of the brave visitors.
Here is how they judged in Bavaria …
Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1):
Manuel Neuer – 5.5: powerless for the goal and was largely disappointed by the defense for him. Had little to do to pick the ball from the net.
Josip Stanisic – 4: Given a scorching time in the first 20 minutes by Jota. Gave the ball away for the goal. Brought forward but usually wasting.
Dayot Upamecano – 5.5: Loose pass to Kuhn Almost gifted Celtic a goal. Pace of visiting Forward brought him worries, but was strong in the air.
Min -jae Kim – 4.5: Did not do much wrong until the goal when his Tackle Kuhn did not stop. His lack of pace in the middle was exposed.
Raphael Guerreiro – 5.5: Kuhn's shot from the line. Did it do well in both defense and attack, but quickly addicted after the scored Celtic.
Leon Goretzka – 5.5: Warde has a good chance at the start of the second period. Unusually corrugated in the engine room. Good efforts wide.
Joshua Kimmich – 7: Quality range of passing was shown. Wide a good chance, but was the most composed player in a Bayern.
Michael Olise – 7: Great cross caused panic in the box in the last minute. Bayern hero of the first leg pulled deep problems.
Jamal Musiala – 5.5: Master in finding the space, but did not get much change in a disciplined Celtic -Middenveld and defense.
Serge Gnabry – 3.5: It was miserably not effective and sometimes looked complete uninterested. The least effective attacker in a difficult Bayern front line.
Harry Kane – 5: The crossbar rattled during the break. Doubt of the injury stopped in advance and during the break. Quiet night.

Manager: Vincent Kompany – 4.5: His side was at work in attack and sloppy at the back. Fortunately to beep.
Celtic (4-3-3):
Kasper Schmeichel – 8.5: Inspired trust with his fainting from the back and made a few huge rescues. Really bad luck with the goal.
Alistair Johnston – 9: Some brilliant last ditch defense. Fierce in the tackle and was on his stubborn best. Excellent performance. Man of the game
Cameron Carter-Vickers-8: Goretzka shot past him once, but otherwise Rock-Solid. Very unfortunate not to erase the ball for last-minute goal.
Auston Trusty – 8.5: Gesched good to help Schlupp when Bayern mainly investigated left from Celtic. He was always close to Kane.
Jeffrey Schlupp – 7.5: focused in the first half, but was good on the challenge. Kept his ex-crystal palace teammate Olise under Wraps.
Arne Engels – 7: worked hard and almost Peeda for a first half goal. Showed good passing quality and was strong in most areas.
Callum McGregor – 8: Good press to force the first chance of the night, but transferred. Playing apart and kept possession.
Reo Hatate – 8.5: Bundle Energie. Cover every grass blade. Excellent on and next to the ball. Releveless working speed set the tone.
Nicolas Kuhn – 8: Saw the effort disappeared from the line. Great calmness to break the impasse. Ran into the ground. A real livewire.
Daizzen Maeda – 8: Relevantless Press puts Bayern on Edge. Wasted a large opening at 18 minutes, but Kuhn kissed for a huge opening goal.
JOTA – 6.5: released a glorious early opening for Kuhn with beautiful individual run. Faded a bit at the start of the second half.

Manager: Brendan Rodgers-8.5: A coming-of-age European display of his silk. Fall short with a heroic collective effort.
Referee: Benoit Bastien (France) – 7.5: Let the game flow and did not produce cards. How we could only wish for these kinds of officers in Scotland and England.
