Plymouth 1-0 Liverpool: Arne Slot’s side crash out of the FA Cup vs bottom of the Championship after Ryan Hardie penalty

Plymouth Argyle caused a large upset in the FA Cup after winning a 1-0 win against the Liverpool side of Arne Slot to end their hope to secure the trophy for an eighth time.

The Liverpool -Baas made 10 changes to the team that defeated Tottenham in the Carabao Cup and the lack of cohesion turned out to be frustrated against the bottom of the Plymouth Championship, which eventually received their reward for an impressive version in Home Park.

The ball from the arms of Harvey Elliott, who were raised well above his head, in the area and Ryan Hardie cannot be fermented from the penalty spot to give his side a deserved lead early in the second half.

It was an incoherent performance from start to finish of Liverpool, which were not even stimulated by the bustling talents of Darwin Nunez of the bank.

The attacker replaced debutant Isaac Mabaya shortly after the opener, 47 minutes in his debut for the wounded Joe Gomez.

Despite his arrival, Liverpool continued to miss a real threat because of a combination of their bad attacking output and a Stoic defensive performance from people such as Maksym Talovierov and Nikola Katic.

It even took until the dying sintels of the draw for the Reds to finally build on their lonely shot on goal, with the last digit on three after two late Saves from Conor Hazard to keep the clean sheet intact.

Plymouth is now booking their place in the fifth round of the oldest club match in England, while all the attention for Slot and his players now turn to the Merseyside Derby Derby on Wednesday evening.
