Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is still keeping a close eye on his former club Tottenham.
Pochettino managed Spurs for five and a half years between 2014 and 2019 and led them to the Champions League final in his last year at the club.
The Argentinian was only fired for five months after losing the Champions League final at Liverpool, and has since coached their London Rivalen Chelsea before he was appointed USA manager last September.
But his preference for Tottenham has not disappeared and he has admitted that he still keeps an eye on their games.
Asked if he tuned at the Premier League despite his move to the US, Pochettino told The Sun: 'I watch all the matches I can. And of course Tottenham is definitely one of the teams that I always watch, certainly. '
Spurs regularly challenged the business end of the Premier League table under Pochettino and finished third in 2015-16 before he took second place behind Chelsea the following season.
This season, however, has been very different with Ange Postecoglou at the helm.
Tottenham is in 14th place, only 10 points above the relegation zone, after losing 13 of their 24 league games so far.
The outfit of Noord -London also left the Carabao Cup and FA Cup last week to stack the pressure on Postecoglou.
But Pochettino has supported the Australian to come out the other side and turn Tottenham's fortunes.
“He is a great coach. Great club, great fans. It is impossible to say something other than good things about everyone there, “Pochettino said about Postecoglou and Spurs.
Thinking about the struggles of Postecoglou, Pochettino added: 'That's football, that's life. Sometimes ups, sometimes downs. That is what happens.
“We are colleagues, we are coaches. We must always be aimed at ourselves, and every coach in the world has his ideas and the ability to change things. '
