Poland 1-2 Scotland PLAYER RATINGS: Who was crucial at both ends? Did Ben Doak live up to the growing hype?

A sensational stoppage-time header from Andy Robertson gave Scotland a victory over Poland and kept their chances of staying in the top flight of the Nations League alive.

Making his 80th appearance for his country, the Scotland captain rose above the home defense in the dying moments to fire a header high into the net.

After Kamil Piatkowski's stunning shot canceled out John McGinn's early opener, the victory relegated Poland and moved Scotland to third in their group.

Second place was too big for them, as Croatia took a point at home against Portugal.

But Steve Clarke's team now have a play-off in March that could spare them a drop to the second tier of the league.

Paul Forsyth examines the performances on a dramatic evening in Warsaw.

Craig Gordon-7.5

Alert and engaged. He knocked down one shot and blocked two more shots with his body. A phenomenal blow struck him

Anthony Ralston-6

Strong and eager, sometimes a little hesitant. His part of the field was the area where Scotland were most vulnerable.

John Souttar-8

Physically and technically strong. His cross for the winner was sumptuous, his block against Kaminski sensational.

Grant Hanley-6

Determined and disciplined, although as a unit he and Souttar let too many easy balls over the top.

Andy Robertson-7

Apart from the odd weak pass, what a way to mark his 80th cap. His stoppage-time header almost cleared the net.

Billy Gilmour-7.5

Inspired rendering from the first half. His brilliant pass led to the opening goal and a dipping shot came off the underside of the crossbar.

Kenny McLean-6.5

Sharp, neat and a force of work between the boxes. One leap forward deserved a better result.

Ben Doak-7.5

Set up McGinn's goal and again showed no hesitation in tackling his marker. His sense of adventure was exciting.

Scott McTominay7

Disruptive and dangerous. One shot was hit via the keeper's legs, after which another hit the post.

John McGinn-7

Strong, hungry and back on the scoresheet. Picked out the bottom left corner with an accurate right foot finish.

Lyndon Dykes-7

A sturdy foil but also a goal threat. One spin was followed by a shot into the side net. Had a great header saved.
