Danish police criticize former Danish international Jens Stryger Larsen for creating a hostile atmosphere before the Scandinavian collision in the qualification for the UEFA Champions League between Malmo FF and FC Copenhagen.
“We hate Copenhagen, we hate Copenhagen, we hate Copenhagen Allz Allz,” Sang Malmo fans and various players, including Jens Stryger Larsen, after their victory in the Champions League qualification against RFS. The Danish police now criticize the Danish ex-national team player.
Malmö FF went to the third round of the Champions League qualifications on Wednesday, and it brought up great emotions to both fans and players.
In the third round of the qualification they will be confronted with FC Copenhagen, and that is why the players together with the crowd launched a hate number against the Danish champions.
The fact that the Danish ex-national team player Jens Stryger Larsen led that the group song has resulted in criticism from the Danish police.
“We consider it a risky match, and we do this because there is a strong antagonism between Malmo FF and FCK, almost on the same footing with Brondby and FCK,” says Peter Dahl, senior police inspector at the Copenhagen police, to
“We are going to approach the game en masse with the dialogue, because we want those matches to be played in good condition,” he says, and then criticizes the former Brondby player, who played 54 international matches for Denmark.
“Now I also noticed that there was a national team player from Denmark who was very aggressive in his campaign. It is of course a shame that we are not all trying to fight this evil instead of helping induce a hostile atmosphere.”
Danish police has introduced a stricter penalty zone around parks and ordered FC Copenhagen to keep the Swedish spectators in the stands for one hour after the end of the game.
The first game will be played on Tuesday 5 August in Malmö, and the return match takes place a week later in Parken.
