Postecoglou calls Spurs record ‘unacceptable’ in wake of 15th EPL defeat

Tottenham -Baas Ange Postecoglou complained the “soft” goals that his side gave when they fell in their 15th defeat of an “unacceptable” Premier League campaign in Fulham.

“Fifteen defeats nowhere good enough,” Postecoglou said after their last loss – a 2-0 loss in Craven Cottage, where former player Ryan Sessegnon added insult to injury by scoring Fulham's second.

The result leaves spurs in the 13th, with 34 points from 29 games, after they have lost their joint games in this phase of a competition season since 1997-98. Every prospect of the next term of European football is entirely based on winning the Europa League.

“I told the players, I just don't let anyone think of Europe and nothing else,” Postecoglou thought.

“We cannot let this competition season go as it is. We have lost way too many matches, unacceptable.

“I understand the frustrations of the supporters with that. It was another day on which we let a game come out of us when we shouldn't. We had a chances of going with 1-0 that would have exerted pressure on them, then they scored a really soft goal.

“Today the opposition did not blow us off the park. We were where we wanted to be 75 minutes, the fact that we come from that game with nothing is disappointing.”
