Ange Postecoglou said that he “could not be more proud” from his Tottenham side for “overcoming adversity” to reach the Europa League final.
Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro were on goal when Spurs won 2-0 in Bodo/Glimt to complete a 5-1 total victory on the Norwegian outfit and book a date with Manchester United in San Mames on 21 May.
Tottenham had to endure a heavy wave of injuries earlier in the campaign, while Bodo/Glimt had won nine of their previous 10 home European meetings prior to this fixture.
In this draw, Spurs registered their largest total victory in a large European semi-final tie and their largest in a knockout match since a last 16 triumph over RZ Pellets WAC (8-1) in the last 16 of the 2020-21 Europa League.
After the game, Postecoglou spoke with TNT -Sport after the game: “Could not be more proud of the boys. We knew it was a difficult place to come. We are aware of the record they have here, the field. I think the boys have dealt well. Entain, we are in a final.
“We have grown up and we understand exactly what is needed. I think we won the game there. We kept them for a minimum in the first half and did what to do.
“We used every player in the team. We have overcome adversity. I felt that when we got into the knockout, it helped we got players back.

England-striker Solanke is directly involved in nine Europa League goals (five goals, four assists) this season, the most by a Tottenham player in the major European competition since Carlos Vinicius during the 2020-21 campaign (nine-six goals, three assists).
He spoke about his desire to finish the job now, praising the traveling Spurs fans in Norway.
“(It feels) so good. It has been a long season and we are in the business end. Another game to go and hopefully we can do it,” said Solanke.
“We knew it would be very difficult, they started well. We knew we should be disciplined.
“They are (the fans) phenomenal, the last game at home was the same. Hopefully the fans can reach Bilbao and we still have a special day.”
