Ange Postecoglou seemed to point out that he believes that he will remain leadership about Tottenham next season after he led the club to Europa League Glory to Europa League.
Postecoglou delivered the first trophy of Spurs in 17 years after the 1-0 win against Manchester United in the tense final in Bilbao on Wednesday evening.
His future, however, remains entertained in uncertainty and chairman Daniel Levy could still decide to dismiss the Australian, even though he secures his place in Spurs Folklore.
While giving a speech during the open-top bus Trophy Parade on Friday, Postecoglou indicated that he was hopeful to get a third campaign at the helm.
The 59-year-old spoke to the thousands of supporters outside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and said: “I told them and they laughed. I told them and they didn't believe.
'But here we are and we are here because of the incredible group of people, staff, heroes, led by legend son Heung-Min, Romero, Maddison and Vicario. All [are] Heroes. They did it all for you. You earn it. This club deserves it.
“I'll tell you something. The best TV series, season three is better than season two. '
His message was greeted with a huge cheers of supporters and the players stood next to him – but the Nervy is waiting for clarity about his position.
Mail Sport revealed that the Postecoglou team did not expect him to keep his job.
Postecoglou has a year left on his contract, but Levy would already start exploring alternatives, including Fulham -Baas Marco Silva.
Levy can decide to persuade the tractor because of the misery of Spurs in the Premier League.
Spurs are gone in the 17th in the table prior to the last round of matches this Sunday, with only 38 points of their 37 games.
Damn only the three degraded top sides – Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester – have lost more games this season than the side of Postecoglou.
Many of the players of Postecoglou seemed to be dismissed by the fate of the head coach despite the beating of United after the 42nd minute strike by Brennan Johnson. Indeed, most chose to avoid the problem, insisting that it was a time to celebrate and not focus on the future.
Captain Son Heung-Min came closest to Postecoglou to stay.
“He won the trophy,” Son said in Spain. 'Nobody did it, so … Look, it's not up to me or the players, but we just have to look at the fact that we have won nothing in 17 years, and today is the day we finally won it. It is the manager who wins the trophy.
“So we see what will happen.”
