Postecoglou gives worrying Dominic Solanke update

Ange Postecoglou has given an update on the condition of Dominic Solanke after his recent injury.

After Tottenham had sustained a knee problem during the training, Tottenham's summer gain of £ 65 million missed the defeat of the club against Everton last weekend.

The English International was also not included in the match day selection, because the Spurs secured three points against Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday.

The absence of Solanke fed the fear that he could be the last victim in what was already a campaign-ravaged campaign for Postecoglou in his second season in North London.

After Thursday's game, the Australian admitted that he will be without the striker in the coming weeks.

He said, “All information is now that we look around six weeks.”

According to the latest forecasts, Solanke will miss the club's last group stage in Europe against the Swedish Elfsborg next week.

Solanke will also not be available for selection because the Spurs want to defend their lead of one goal in the semi -final of the EFL Cup against Liverpool on 6 February.

The news will be a big blow, since the Spurs are already without a number of important stars due to an injury, including Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Solanke is currently the second highest goal scorer of the Spurs in his first season at the club.

The 27-year-old scored 10 goals from 29 performances in all competitions and registered six assists.
