Ange Postecoglou refuted suggestions he was angry after Tottenham's 6-3 defeat to Liverpool.
Spurs were comprehensively beaten by the Premier League leaders at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, despite goals from James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke.
Liverpool could easily have scored more goals, however, as Postecoglou's front-foot approach exposed a rickety Spurs defense.
The Reds had 24 shots and created chances worth a whopping 5.6 expected goals (xG), and Postecoglou was testy when quizzed on his tactical approach in the aftermath of the defeat.
But ahead of Spurs' visit to Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day, Postecoglou dismissed the idea that he was angry.
“I wasn't angry, but I don't know many managers who go into interviews after a defeat and are all happy,” Postecoglou said.
“I have to be honest that I get asked the same questions again and again and maybe after a defeat it is easier to get a response.”
3.6 – Tottenham's Premier League games under Ange Postecoglou have seen an average of 3.6 goals scored per game. Among those in charge of more than 50 games in the league, this is the highest number of goals per game for any manager. Pleasure. pic.twitter.com/VX1VZInKQ6

Postecoglou will use Christmas to prepare for the showdown with in-form Forest, who face off in the top four on Thursday, seven places ahead of Spurs.
Asked about his plans for Christmas Day, he said: “It's a family tradition. I'm on my own.
'They are with family in Australia, in a warmer climate. I'll call them in the morning and then I'll go about my day.'
In a positive omen for Postecoglou, Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 16 league games played on Boxing Day (W12 D4) since the 2-0 defeat to Portsmouth in 2003-04.
Only Aston Villa (20 between 1890 and 1913) has had a longer unbeaten run in the history of the English football league.
