Predicted Teams Real Madrid-Arsenal: Full-back dilemmas and changes in midfield

Real Madrid has spent the last few days psychaging their Champions League quart final second stage against Arsenal on Wednesday evening in the Santiago Bernabeu, who starts at 21:00 CEST. Carlo Ancelotti, however, will have little room for changes to his side.

The Italian manager is without Eduardo Camavinga, which was sent at the end of the first stage, who is joining the wounded Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, Andriy Lunin and left back Ferland Mendy. In the meantime, Arsenal remains without Kai Havertz, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhaes and Jorginho, but it seems that they have Ben White, Jurrien Timber and Thomas Peny, who all had doubts.

Marca believes that Lucas Vazquez will be right back to enable Fede Valverde to return to midfield, next to Aurelien Tchouameni. The Frenchman is back from the suspension and he is one of the three changes, predicted, the other is the return of Fran Garcia to left back for David Alaba.

That seems to be the consensus, based on Diario as a prediction. They have doubts about whether the Vazquez or Luka Modric will be in the side – the Croatian started the first stage. The most interesting is the fact that Dani Ceballos is not in both line-up. The ex-Arsenale midfielder returned the last minutes on Sunday from an injury to Alaves, but it seems that he will only play the couch.

Real Madrid has five players who run the risk of suspension in the case of an unlikely semi -final, with Antonio Rudiger, Lucas Vazquez, Luka Modric, Endrick Felipe and Vinicius Junior All Walking the Smatrope. The side of Mikel Arteta has wood, Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli and Pedey in the same situation.

It seems that Arteta will not mess with the recipe that the first leg functioned for him. Neither of the papers predicts changes in arsenal for the second stage. Timber and Pedey are perhaps the biggest question marks because of their fitness, with Mikel Merino going in advance.
