A PREMIER LEAGUE club is set to make history by wearing an AI-generated kit designed by supporters.
Manchester City and Puma have collaborated on a new innovative idea to give fans the “unique opportunity”.
The Premier League champions are offering fans the chance to design the club's official third kit for the 2026/2027 season.
The Puma AI creator tool allows fans to design their dream Man City kits using text prompts and customization tools.
The system also has intuitive sliders that allow fans to edit their potential kits.
The winning design will be worn by the Man City team and sold in club stores during the 2026/2027 campaign.
The club posted a video on social media to promote the idea, which got many supporters excited.
One posted: “I can't wait to try this out.”
A second wrote: “Cool.”
However, many were also concerned that some designs might not look great.
A third commented: “This could end terribly badly.”
A fourth said: “Um, I'm not so sure about this.”
SunSport tried to use the tool and created a potential shirt based on a Manchester Cathedral pattern.
The tool created a beautiful gold-colored kit with navy blue details, detailed with a cool pattern.
City Football Group chief marketing and fan experience officer Nuria Tarre said: “Through the power of AI, we are delighted to offer fans this special opportunity to become part of Manchester City's history and design a kit that will one day be theirs. players can be worn. heroes on the field.
“Each City kit plays a fundamental role in connecting fans around the world to our club and we are excited to see how they handle this truly unique initiative.”
Man City faced backlash over their special 'Oasis' kit released earlier this year, with many comparing it to a Refresher sweet.
AI was used to predict the kits for countries participating in Euro 2024.
However, many of the actual kits bore no resemblance to the creations presented within.
