This season, Chelsea remains at the top of the agent payment graphs – but even the blues have lowered the amount that they splash to intermediaries.
The Stamford Bridge Club paid £ 60.4 million to the representatives of players in the course of the current campaign according to figures submitted to the FA.
That is a reduction of 20 percent on the £ 75.1 million Chelsea that has been laid down in the last term, whereby all Big Six reduces the account of their agents.
Chelsea has paid to agents who represent 44 players – of whom 26 still bow their first team – as well as the agent of former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
While the blues spent more than £ 200 million on the two windows, many of the payments were made with regard to earlier deals that were forced since Roman Abramovich in 2022 was forced to sell to the consortium led by Todd Boehly.

Eight of the clubs that stayed up last season – Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Newcastle, West Ham and Wolves increased their reimbursements to agents.
Brentford, whose total rose from £ 8.1 million to £ 14.7 million, registered the largest increase by a club.
And the costs of agents rose over all three divisions of the EFL.

The total for the championship was £ 63.2 million compared to £ 61.3 million in 2023-24, with an increase of £ 2.4 million to £ 7.6 million in League One and an increase of £ 300,000 to £ 2.7 million in competition two.
Leeds United spent the most by far by £ 18.8 million – considerably more than the second highest expenditure Burnley by £ 5.3 million.
Oxford United, on the other hand, only £ 572,808 explained for agent costs.
