Premier League Predictions and best bets: Can Arsenal edge closer to Liverpool?

Our betting expert Jones Knows gives his insight into Saturday's Premier League action as Liverpool and Arsenal hunt for maximum points.

Newcastle vs Bournemouth, Saturday 12.30pm

Nine wins on the spin and their centre-forward scoring 12 goals in his last nine games, things are looking fantastic for Newcastle and Alexander Isak.

However, winning runs and hot streaks always come to an end and given the prices, now might be the time to jump off the Newcastle train if you're on board.

Bournemouth are unbeaten in ten games and remain an underrated team in the market. It's too good to be here at 5/4 with Sky Bet on the double chance.

SCORE PREDICTION: 1-1

Brentford vs Liverpool, Saturday 3pm – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

Brentford's playing style lends itself well to absorbing pressure and the shot numbers are always higher than what you would expect from a team competing in mid-table.

Only Southampton have faced more shots than the Bees this season (376). This opens up betting opportunities in the player shot market for Liverpool and Trent Alexander-Arnold has an excellent record against Brentford in that regard.

He has had 11 shots in his six meetings with Thomas Frank's team in the Premier League. He has scored two or more shots in four of those games, while his average shots of 1.7 per game in the last fifteen in all competitions are very healthy.

The 11/10 with Sky Bet registering two or more shots looks generous.

SCORE PREDICTION: 1-3

Leicester vs Fulham, Saturday 3pm – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

Seeing one of the most creative players in the division take on a team that doesn't know how to defend their goal will get the punters excited.

And that's the case here with Antonee Robinson's assist price of 4/1 on Sky Bet.

The rampaging Fulham full-back took his tally to nine assists for the season with his double assist at West Ham – only Bukayo Saka (10) and Mohamed Salah (13) have now recorded more. Getting Robinson into dangerous positions along the left flank is a clear Marco Silva tactic, as evidenced by the American's 103 open play crosses this season – 19 more than any other player in the competition.

Meanwhile, Leicester have scored 20 goals in their last eight games, conceding two or more in each. Robinson will create several chances.

SCORE PREDICTION: 1-3

West Ham vs Crystal Palace, Saturday 3pm – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

West Ham's terrible defense is the biggest challenge facing Graham Potter.

Over the last forty Premier League games, West Ham have conceded an average of 2.13 goals per game – the worst record of any Premier League team ever present in that period. There have been no signs of improvement on that front in Potter's first two games, with the Hammers conceding four goals and 4.63 expected goals conceded.

With Palace in good form, losing just one of their last ten and winning three of their last four, backing a goalscorer for them is attractive and Daniel Munoz at 9/1 with Sky Bet looks overpriced. He always makes aggressive runs from the right into the penalty area and recently found the net against both Newcastle and Manchester City.

SCORE PREDICTION: 1-2

Arsenal vs Aston Villa, Saturday 5.30pm, live on Sky Sports – PLAY SUPER 6 HERE!

There were massive Ashley Cole vibes about Myles Lewis-Skelly against Tottenham – he knocked my socks off with his performance. He's a freak. When he was just 18 years old, he enjoyed the North London derby and played well beyond his years.

No player made more tackles for Arsenal (4), won possession more often (6) and had a higher passing accuracy (93.8 percent) than Lewis-Skelly, as the stats backed up the visuals.

But one gambling angle that continues to appeal to me is his ability to make mistakes. He plays with a very streetwise character and likes to make contact and hit the deck to get himself out of a difficult situation.

In his eight starts, he has committed 18 errors, putting him above the average of two errors per game. The images of his performance support the data that he will be a great player in the market where mistakes are made. You can get 11/8 with Sky Bet if he makes two or more mistakes, which looks like a very interesting angle for what should be another gritty home win for the Gunners.

SCORE PREDICTION: 2-1
