Our bet expert Jones Knows gives his insight into the Midweek card of the Premier League and wants to support Nottingham Forest to win at Nil against Man Utd.
Arsenal vs Fulham, Tuesday 7.45 pm
My colleague Nick Wright outlined the attacking evolution of Declan Rice at the beginning of March in his excellent “Radar” column and because it was published, Rice scored two goals in his last three games. It seems that Wright knows.
The markets have not overtaken his spiking figures in attack, which is great news for us as gamblers. After playing in the role last season, the emphasis has changed this term, which means that Rice has now started more matches for Arsenal at no. 8 than at no. 6. In his last 14 performances, he has had at least one shot in 13 of them and is an average of 1.8 shots per match, including three in his last appearance against Chelsea.
He is 5/4 with Sky Bet to make two or more shots in this and is 11/2 to score. Both are great corners to attack.
Score prediction: 2-0 Jones Knows' Best Bet: Declan Rice +2 Shots (5/4 with Sky Bet)
Wolves vs West Ham, Tuesday 7.45 pm
Wolves can be very happy that the standard of the three promoted teams is so low that they remain standard. Vitor Pereira has made them defensively tighter, but it is a price for their attacking output that suffers and will have trouble seeing a positive effect with Matheus Cunha still banned. They did the job in Southampton and scored twice from just one expected goals in total of 0.36 and five shots, but it was not a performance that convinced me to invest in it.
One thing that Graham Potter has done in West Ham is to improve their structure without the ball that she in turn has defensively tightened. In their last five games, they have given only three goals with a switch to a back three that will certainly help them. The Evens offered from Sky Bet for them on the draw is not logical.
Score prediction: 0-1
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United, Tuesday 8 p.m.
With nine games to go, the end is in sight for Nottingham Forest in terms of Champions League qualification and based on their versions of the Late Thunder over the line.
There have been no wiggle. No signs of nerves. It was so impressive with Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic in the heart of the defense that leads the club to a number of special places.
These two write history for this football club.
This forest team showed what they were all about in their grim FA Cup victory on Brighton. The excellent work of Murillo and Milenkovic during the 120 minutes where the defense was at the top led to the foundation of Forest's victory. That was clean page number 14 for the season at all competitions for the combination.
Forest is such a difficult side to score against, especially on the city land where they have sent only 10 goals this season in their 14 Premier League matches – that is the best home record of each team. During that run they also held seven clean sheets and win against Nul against Man City, Brighton, Tottenham, Ipswich, West Ham and Crystal Palace.
Supporting a new victory without giving a goal at 100/30 with Sky Bet looks too good to reject.
Score prediction: 1-0 | Jones Knows' Best Bet: Nottingham Forest to win to zero (100/30 with Sky Bet)
Bournemouth vs Ippswich, Wednesday 7.45 pm – Play Super 6 here!
“You need to know when to hold them, know when to fold them,” Kenny Rogers once sang. That is precisely my thoughts about Bournemouth at the moment, who are watching a team to resist on the basis of recent versions.
They looked on the floor in terms of trust and attacking ideas in the second half against Man City in the FA Cup, which were so dominant.
The cherries could not place any shot in the second half and their most important attackers, such as Antoine Semenyo, walk on empty and without trust. They are not in mind for him and Bournemouth has not won in 90 minutes for seven games.
Everything has its price and Ipswich is too big here at 7/1 with Sky Bet.
What Ipswich did with Bournemouth in Reverse Game in Portman Road was held in my mind. For 75 minutes that day they were the better team and were a pity to give two late goals to throw the game away 2-1.
The Kieran McKenna team is not as miserable as Leicester or Southampton and has a bit of them about them – as recently shown by Draw in Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, while they were only closely beaten by Palace in a close meeting.
I am happy to swing for the ropes and to support the outright victory.
Score prediction: 1-2
Brighton vs Aston Villa, Wednesday 7.45 pm – Play Super 6 here!
It is exciting times if you are a fan of Aston Villa, isn't it? Two legs with PSG in a quarterfinals of the Champions League, a fight for Europe in the Premier League and now a chance to win the FA Cup. It will certainly not be boring in Villa Park between now and May.
A victory for both teams here would be huge for their European qualification and Brighton – as always – by the markets on 21/20 with Sky Bet for home win. That would be the way I would play it downright, because the underlying data from Villa was away from home this season.
This season they are shipping 1.84 on expected goals on the road per 90 – the fourth worst record of each team and they have given 27 away, only Wolves, Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton have admitted more. Until they repair those kinds of numbers, they are difficult to rely on the road.
Score prediction: 2-1
Manchester City vs Leicester, Wednesday 7.45 pm – Play Super 6 here!
Ruud van Nistelrooy must be there with one of the worst managers who have ever adorned the Premier League based on the evidence. Leicester has lost 14 of their last 16 games in all competitions and are on a series of six consecutive Premier League delays without scoring. That is the first time that happened in the history of the football club.
Those who think that statistics will be seven in a row, can get 11/10 with Sky Bet on Manchester City who wins to Nil. I am surprised that the price is ODDS against. City still has a motivation in the Premier League to get the qualification of the Champions League and the way in which they have the boss of the boss in the second half of their impressive victory in Bournemouth suggests that they can close the season quite strongly.
Score prediction: 3-0 | Jones Knows' Best Bet: Manchester City to win to NIL (11/10 with Sky Bet)
Newcastle vs Brentford, Wednesday 7.45 pm – Play Super 6 here!
The chance of Schoten increases considerably when a full-back plays on the wrong side, which means that they are liable to cut the goal on their stronger foot instead of going off the outside, which in turn takes them from goal. And I think there could be a developing perspective to exploit here with Tino Livramento from the left for Newcastle who has switched there since Lewis Hall was excluded before the season.
Livramento will get opportunities to shoot against Brentford, who defend in numbers and don't mind sucking up a lot of shots. Only Southampton has taken more photos this season than Brentford and they have admitted the most shots from outside the box – 6.1 per match in the Premier League.
He is 15/8 with Sky Bet for one or more shots – that's a nice gamble.
Score forecast: 2-1 | Jones Knows' Best Bet: Valentino Livramento +1 -Recording (15/8 with Sky Bet)
Southampton vs Crystal Palace, Wednesday 7.45 pm – Play Super 6 here!
Adam Wharton is going to get an assist before the season is out.
Palace's midfield Maestro has created 11 chances in his last 210 minutes of Premier League promotion. So every 19 minutes he has a chance for his teammates based on that. He did not caught help at the time, but against Aston Villa, for example, where he officially created three opportunities, it was his most important pass for three goals from Palace that opened the game. He is the spark in this palace team.
Towards the end of last season, when Palace flew and he washed in midfield, he received three assists in his last seven games.
I expect that Palace may score three or more here if they are in the mood and I think 11/4 with Sky Bet for Wharton to help one of them are a big piece of value.
Score prediction: 1-4 | Jones Knows' Best Bet: Adam Wharton +1 Assists (11/4 with Sky Bet)
Liverpool vs Everton, Wednesday 8 p.m., live on Sky Sports – Play Super 6 here!
Liverpool needs a maximum of 16 points from their last nine games to win the Premier League title.
Anyone who was tempted to read too much in the last defeat of the Carabao Cup and to include them here may want to remind us that Liverpool currently has a 25 Premier League game undefeated run – only once did they have a longer undefeated run in the competition. Only PSG are currently on a longer undefeated competition run than Liverpool in the most important competitions in Europe.
Fatigue can be a factor with Liverpool that plays their 20 games so far in 2025 in a period of 71 days – on average a game every 3.6 days. The break must breathe new life into them and this can be a bad time for Everton to cross Stanley Park. This season Liverpool scored two or more goals in 13 of their 14 Home Premier League match, which means that the Liverpool -1 is the handicap the way to play at Evens with Sky Bet.
Score prediction: 3-0
Chelsea vs Tottenham, Thursday 8 p.m., live on Sky Sports
Djed Spence makes the chance of Tottenham and wins many compliments for his displays since the turn of the year. His versions are aware of, especially from a punitive perspective where the prices on his ability to win mistakes are very important.
He remains a bit of value with Sky Bet to be polluted two or more times – a bet that landed for gamblers in 11 of his last 13 starts. Ange Postecoglou loves his full-backs to ride in central parts of the field and that tends to lead to mistakes being pulled. He can go inside again in what is always a derby with a high octane area.
