MO SALAH and Erling Haaland have been left out of the 2024 Premier League squad.
The pair were among the highest scorers of the previous calendar year, with Salah arguably the player of the season so far.
But he was left out of a team of the year that includes just two players from league leaders Liverpool.
There are also only two stars from 2023/24 Prem champions Manchester City – Rodri and Josko Gvardiol – and no Erling Haaland.
The eleven from statistics website WhoScored contains some surprising names, including Brentford goalkeeper Mark Fleken.
The Dutchman was a brilliant signing for the Bees and achieved an average rating of 6.97 in 2024, surpassing the likes of Alisson, David Raya and Emi Martinez.
There has also been a surprise entrance into central defence, with James Tarkowski taking a place alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, despite many suggesting his Everton team-mate Jarrad Branthwaite was the better of the two last year.
Gabriel also has a teammate in William Saliba, despite an impressive year for the Frenchman.
There is only one other player in the squad who does not play for a Big Six club: Crystal Palace ace Eberechi Eze.
Salah misses out on Bukayo Saka's right-wing spot, who has the best average rating in 2024, with Kai Havertz the third Arsenal player in the centre-forward position.
Liverpool are instead represented by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz, who hit form towards the end of the year with three goals and one assist in four games.
There are four English players, with Cole Palmer earning a place thanks to his sensational form throughout the year.
