Premier League top 5 run-ins revealed as Arsenal win seals extra UCL spot

The Premier League will have at least five teams in the Champions League next season after the victory of Arsenal against Real Madrid and the race for Europe will remain wide open

The Premier League race for Champions League places seems to go to the thread. On the way to the last weeks of the season, no fewer than eight teams are all in the fight to seal a place on Europe Top table for the next term.

And each of them had a huge boost this week with the victory of Arsenal against Real Madrid who officially sealed a fifth place in the competition on the basis of the UEFA coefficiërsiti rules of the competition. With the competition title and relegation completely, but sealed, the race for Europe is the only thing to play.

With seven games of the season to go, there can be many turns and turn left. Assuming that Liverpool and Arsenal have protected their stains, let it chase another six teams that chase the three places.

There are a few surprise packages, while some established clubs may be able to lose at the end of the campaign. That said, watch the upcoming competitions for each of the Champions League opportunities:

Forest has currently occupied a third place and has enjoyed a brilliant season under Nuno Espirito Santo. And if things go to plan in the coming weeks, they could seal a place in the Champions League for the first time since 1980.

They start their newest run with a home game against a revival of Everton prior to an away game with traces. Brentford and Crystal Palace represent their next opponents for a collision with local rivals Leicester – which will probably be banned by 11 May.

Forest off their season with a double header in London. West Ham are their penultimate opponents, with a key game against Chelsea on the city that completes the season.

Speaking of the blues, they actually have a difficult end of the season. A home game with Ipswich represents a relatively friendly start to that run, with Fulham Next Up.

Chelsea is then confronted with a Merseyside Double at Stamford Bridge, where Everton comes for champions, prefering Liverpool. The luminaires are not much easier with a trip to St James' park and a home game with Manchester United all for a potentially decisive match against Bos.

Just like Chelsea, the winners of the Carabao Cup Newcastle have a tough run between now and the end of the season. They are ready to entertain Man United this weekend this weekend prior to another home game against Crystal Palace.

The Magpies have a tough assignment that follows with a trip to Aston Villa for a confrontation with Ipswich in St James' Park. Newcastle then has a relatively heavy final four games against Brighton, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton.

After having only had one trophy -free season at the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola could actually miss a Champions League place this season. City wants to get a push this weekend in the late season against Crystal Palace.

A trip to Goodison Park then follows for an important game with Aston Villa at home. Wolves, Southampton and then Bournemouth follow for the seasonal conclusion of the city against Fulham in Craven Cottage.

The side of Guardiola is currently sixth in the table, but is only one point behind Chelsea, so it is certainly able to overthrow that shortage.

After reaching the quarterfinals of the Champions League this season, the men of Unai Emery certainly want to secure a place in the competition. And they are going a relatively simple start with already degraded Southampton to come.

But Villa is then confronted with a large number of difficult games with Man City, Fulham, Bournemouth and Tottenham to come in the coming weeks. And although Man United has not been close to their best this season, a last day trip to Old Trafford can be somewhat problematic.

After defeating Liverpool the last time, Fulham from Marco Silva will hope for a few more surprises in the coming weeks. A victory against Bournemouth would be an excellent start this weekend, while another victory against Chelsea would certainly force Londoners in position in their next position.

Struggling Southampton is their next opponent with a series of four difficult games that come at the end of the season. Aston Villa, Southampton, Brentford and Manchester City will all come in the coming weeks.

With five points to make good, a few victories against some of their rivals would be very useful.

Currently, the underdogs for a Champions League spot, the seagulls are six points from the pace. But they have the perfect start to their latest run of competitions with a home game against Leicester.
