The sports director of a Premier League club has unveiled his interest in a player who was involved in a social media spit with Liverpool -mid -fellow Dominik Szoboszlai last week.
Real Madrid and Turkey star Arda Guler are still considered one of the most exciting young talents in world football, despite his limited playing time since he joined Los Blancos in 2023.
He was involved in a collision with Szoboszlai during the victory of his country at the Nations League over Hungary on Sunday with a photo that quickly circulated on social media that showed him to put his finger on his mouth and tell the Hungarian to be silent.
And fans with eagle eyes quickly saw that Szoboszlai had noticed '1088' on a post of the image, which is exactly that Guler played for Madrid this season.

The scoreboard was also edited to show 'Szoboszlai 1 Instagram remark' where the goal scorers of Hungary would have been if there had been one.
And Aston Villa Transfer Chief Monchi has now admitted that he would be interested in bringing Guler to the Premier League
“I know him well because he is a player who has followed every sports director since Turkey in his career,” Monchi told Radio Marca.
'He is a player who met a number of requirements and could be attractive for Aston Villa because we were looking for that position.
'It is not the same position as Marcos Asensio, but we are more or less looking for that profile between the lines that can play as a no. 10 and that can even play on the outside while entering.
