Pressure is on Arteta to turn Arsenal from perennial bridesmaids into the bride

The eternal bridesmaids of the Premier League will have a crack to finally walk through the aisle itself.

This is certainly the time of Arsenal, in their 100th consecutive top season?

A fourth year on the spider of finishing second place would probably push the fan base over the edge … and stack the pressure on boss Mikel Arteta.

December 19, 2025 will be six years since the Spaniard took over and the progress can be seen for everyone.

But is that enough?

Trophies make the manager and arteta believe that their time is coming.

They are not yet in a win-of-bust situation, but they get close.

A horror opening run of competitions will not help – they play Manchester United, Liverpool, Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle in the first six games.

But there is added quality and depth with six new faces – with the Hope Arteta, a no. 9 has finally found in Viktor Gyokeres.

Yet the evidence is in the pudding and nothing tastes sweeter than silverware.

Dream Team Hero: Declan Rice, midfielder, £ 5m

Bukayo Saka is normally the go-to-guy at the Gunners, but Rice produced nine goals and ten assists in general last season.

He also created 58 opportunities in the Prem, two more than his English friend Saka.

Two huge matches against Real Madrid Last season earned him the legendary status at the Emirates and contributed to a 295-point trek.

Famous fan

It is a bit hard to suggest that Rihanna found love in a hopeless place, but she rocked in the Emirates in 2018, the year that the Gunners finished sixth.

At least she saw them beat Everton 5-1.
