Liverpool survived a siege of pressure in Paris on Wednesday evening when the Reds escaped with a 1-0 win in the first stage of their last 16 collision with PSG after a Harvey Elliott Smash and Grab.
Despite storming by the Champions League League phase, Liverpool was subject to PSG, and with three minutes to play it seemed to go back to Anfield level.
The draw was invoiced as a collision that could be decided by Mohamed Salah and Ousmane Dembele, who both have been in astonishing form for their respective parties this season.
But within 47 seconds after entering the battle, Elliott Laag ended in the bottom corner via a Gianluigi Donnarumma glove to achieve a huge victory for Arne Slot and Co with his first touch since he came up.
In addition to having 10 shots on goal, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a goal that was not allowed in the first half, but despite dominating the draw, PSG remains a goal with everything to do in the return bone on Anfield.
Here Lewis Steele from Mail Sport runs the rule about the stars that can be seen in the Parc des Princes, and emphasizes who made the most impression and who leaves the French capital, knowing that they could have offered something more.
Paris Saint-Germain (4-3-3)
Gianluigi Donnarumma – 6
Had nothing to do in the first half when Liverpool gathered zero shots on goal.
Made a good interception for a long, disturbing ball over the top. Should have done better with the goal of Elliott.
Achraf Hakimi – 6.5
Often offered an outlet ball for teammates and did Luis Diaz well.
Marquinhos – 7 (booked)
The 30-year-old skipper showed his experience to guide a very young team through this difficult test. He came on top of almost every fight he had with Diogo Jota.
Willian Pacho – 7.5
Ecuadorian Center Back was positive and did his work defensive. Made two big tackles on Salah when Liverpool started threatening more just after the hour.
Nuno Mendes – 7.5
A loose touch early doors, but in general Salah kept very quiet. A very pleasant version.
Joao Neves – 7.5
Had a glorious chance to open the score in the first half, but shot. Zoomed round and was always available to receive the ball.
Vitinha – 8
A titanic version of the little boy in midfield for Paris Saint-Germain. Always playing positive steps, never stopped running and seemed to pop up everywhere.
Fabian Ruiz – 7.5
Had the everywhere better of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister and was another calming presence in midfield for PSG.
Bradley Barcola – 7.5
Was bad luck on various occasions and the 22-year-old caused all kinds of problems for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Co. A huge prospect.
Ousmane Dembele – 6
Andy Robertson destroyed with an early run, but was different and would have liked more room to exploit.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – 7.5
Stunning attack was abolished for offside, but otherwise a clear display, always caused danger.
Replacements:
Desire Done (for Barcola, 66min) – 6

Manager:
Luis Enrique – 7.5
Better finish and his team could have placed this draw in bed. Instead, they go to Anfield with a small mountain to climb.
Liverpool (4-2-3-1)
Alisson – 9.5
Everyone who still doubts that Alisson is the best keeper in the world? If so, watch this game.
Without De Brazil No. 1, Liverpool would have been dead and buried by the break.
Trent Alexander -Arnold – 5
Struggled to influence the game in an attacking sentence and Barcola got better that he went the other way.
Ibrahima Konate – 8
Some can say that he was lucky to avoid a red card for a push on Barcola when the last man back, but Konate was excellent, which made some large blocks.
Virgil van Dijk – 7 (booked)
The leadership of the captain was necessary when PSG Liverpool flooded with attack after attack.
Andy Robertson – 5
Had a tough night against Kvaratskhelia and when Dembele drove to his side.
Ryan Gravenberch – 5
Vitinha, Fabian and Neves did not give Gravenberch peace. He likes to play on the half turn but was simply not allowed.
Alexis Mac Allister – 7
A ruthless runner and the Liverpool press, but often could not come close to PSG's versatile midfield.
Mohamed Salah – 6
Had to feed leftovers and saw little of the ball in the opening phase.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 6
An important player for Liverpool and perhaps their best player in the past month, but not his best evening here. But never stopped working of the ball.
Luis Diaz – 6
Had a few unfortunate moments when a better touch would have been needed. In a solid shift in a solid shift.
Diogo Jota – 6
Not a good night for Portuguese No. 9. Has had a few sights of the ball and could have led a counterattack, but Touch has often abandoned him
