PSG 7-0 Brest: Hosts hammer compatriots to cruise into round of 16

Paris Saint-Germain rode in the Champions League round of 16 after beating Brest 7-0 at home in the second stage of their play-off knock-out tie.

That victory meant that the aggregated score in the course of both legs had been clocked on 10-0 for a victory that never doubted.

The 3-0 victory of PSG in the Buiten van de Wegbeen last week meant that both teams started slowly, to be careful with Brest and the hosts knowing that they did not have to offer the attacking impetus.

Bradley Barcola finally got the score after 20 minutes, before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia yielded his first Champions League goal for the club with a neat finish from a tight corner.

Vitinha added a third just before the hour, while Desire Doue then got a fourth five minutes later.

It was five in the 69th minute, where Nuno Mendes came to the action this time before Goncalo Ramos made six with 14 minutes in the game.

Brest's test was finally done when Senny Mayulu took a seventh 10 minutes after Ramos' goal. PSG will be confronted with Barcelona or Liverpool in the round of 16.
