PSG deny making €250 million offer for Lamine Yamal

According to a report from L'Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain has denied rumors from the Spanish media that they had made a €250 million offer to FC Barcelona for Lamine Yamal (17) last summer.

Reports previously emerged following a statement by Enric Masim, advisor to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, during an interview with El Chiringuito. The former handball star told the Spanish newspaper that “the president has already said that he had an offer of €250 million that he rejected, that he had never thought about it. It came from France.”

However, the club told L'Équipe that they deny this story “one million percent”. They argue that it would have been impossible for the club to make that offer during the summer because they could not afford that amount.

They do confirm that their sports advisor Luís Campos made inquiries about the player's situation during the period, but this is not unusual and he is used to contacting clubs and keeping files on players.
