PSG in talks with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah over free transfer

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, 32, is reportedly in talks with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain over a free transfer next summer when his contract with the Premier League giants expires, according to a report this Sunday from L'Equipe . The newspaper specifically quotes a source who claims that the Egypt international and PSG have been in talks for some time and that Salah has opened the door for a move to France. “There is now a good chance that he will end up at Paris-Saint-Germain,” the source said.

L'Equipe understands that PSG are currently looking for a winger after failing to sign Napoli's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) and Manchester United's Jadon Sancho (24). Nico Williams (22) from Athletic Bilbao was also interesting Les Parisiens. PSG, owned by QSI, reportedly have no problems financing Salah's arrival following the departure of several highly paid players – Neymar, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Kylian Mbappe – in recent years.

The outlet mentions how PSG have previously tested the waters for Salah, and that next summer is likely their last chance to land the free-scoring winger from Liverpool. The fact that Salah and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi know each other quite well could play well into the hands of Les Parisiens. PSG have denied L'Equipe's piece and quotes from their source as they believe it is a ploy by Salah to put pressure on Liverpool.
