Ligue 1 champions PSG are monitoring Mohamed Salah's, 32, contract standoff with Premier League leaders Liverpool FC, according to a report last Friday from Foot Mercato. The free-scoring Egypt international is out of contract next June and he announced on Sky Sports on Friday that he will be playing his final season with the Reds, who currently top the Premier League and Champions League table. The outlet understands that Salah's words to Sky Sports are an attempt to put pressure on Liverpool to return to the negotiating table as Salah's priority is to extend his stay on Merseyside.
However, as Salah has entered the final six months of his contract with Liverpool, clubs can now trade him freely. Foot Mercato adds that Ligue 1 champions PSG remain interested and discussions with the player's advisors continue. Les Parisiens have been long-time admirers of Salah and will have no difficulty meeting his wage demands, even though they have denied being involved in talks with the player. Clubs from Saudi Arabia have not yet taken any concrete steps towards Salah.
