PSG submit Arsenal complaint to UEFA ahead of Champions League semi-final

PSG and Arsenal are on Loggerheads for Tuesday's Champions League Semi-Final first stage, with Chiefs at the Ligue 1 champions that now encouraged UEFA to participate

PSG was left furiously with Arsenal after the number of tickets offered to their fans was cut by order of the police. The Ligue 1 champions travel to the Gunners for the first stage of their Champions League-Half Final on Tuesday evening.

The two parties previously met in the competition phase in the Emirates Stadium, with the hosts who are comfortable 2-0 winners. PSG returns to London looking for revenge if they keep an eye on their first place in the final of the Champions League since 2020.

But they are supported by fewer fans than normal for their collision with the men of Mikel Arteta. The French side had received 3,000 tickets for the competition phase match at the beginning of October.

That figure represents five percent of the capacity of the Emirates Stadium, as required by the UEFA instructions. But the decision has been made to reduce the allocation of PSG to 2500 tickets for this week's game.

That decision came by order of the metropolitan police due to security problems. It is believed that the concerns arise from a number of seats that were broken during their previous visit, although PSG has insisted that they were repaired at their expense.

And RMC Sport now reports that despite PSG, a complaint submits to UEFA, the allocation will remain at 2500. Chiefs from the French side had also made an attempt with local authorities in London to increase the allocation.

However, those efforts failed, with PSG bosses would be 'particularly dissatisfied' about the timing of events. Arsenal had initially discussed the possibility of allocating 3000 tickets to fans of Weg before the one came in.

A meeting last Thursday could not find a BreakTrough in the impasse, with PSG confused about the reasoning for the reduction of their allocation. There are also simmering tensions compared to next week's return bone.

Arsenal has announced that they will only get 2,000 tickets for the collision in the Parc des Princes. This is also less than the requirement of five percent of UEFA, although PSG received special dispensation to reduce it to 4.1 percent before the start of the season due to a request from the local police.

The Gunners are now encouraged to submit their own official complaint to UEFA. The Arsenal supporters Trust of the club calls for the move, because it has remained furious with the small allocation.

The AST has received the support of Liverpool's supporters from Shankly Group and Aston Villa. The two clubs received similar allocations for their matches in the Parc des Princes earlier in the Knock Rondes.

“It is not fair that every club that plays a Champions League match in Paris has fewer tickets for their supporters,” Ast board member Tim Payton told The Guardian. “We don't expect it to make much difference for next week's second stage, but the new format means that English clubs will play PSG regularly in the coming years, so something has to change.”
