PSG’s Lee Kang-in not as badly injured as first feared

Lee Kang-in (24) opposed Oman in a FIFA World Cup qualification match for South Korea earlier this week. The signs were disturbing. The Paris Saint-Germain game maker came out in tears after the ankle injury in the 85th minute. Unable to walk, he left the stadium on crutches.

As confirmed by his national team manager, Hong Myung-Bo, Lee has now returned to Paris. However, the manager also confirmed that the injury was not as bad as was feared for the first time. L'équipe has now provided more details about the period of unavailability of the South Korean International.

L'Equipe journalist Loïc Tanzi has revealed that the midfielder will probably miss two weeks of competition. It means that he will miss matches as Saint-Étienne and SCO Angers in Ligue 1, as well as a Coupé de France semi-final against USL Dunkerque, but he will probably be back on time to see Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League.
