PSG’s Luís Campos subject of lucrative Saudi approach amid Chelsea interest

The contract of Luís Campos in Paris Saint-Germain ends, without signs of a breakthrough in discussions about a renewal.

Although PSG still has to submit an official extension offer to Campos, the Ligue 1 -side wants to retain the Portuguese sports director after the end of his current deal, which ends in the summer. Other entities, however, are a scent of opportunities smoked and anticipate the event that becomes Campos available.

Campos itself also wants to stay in the Parc des Princes, but he is not against a departure in the event that a reasonable offer is not received, especially because it already has a tangible and lucrative offer at his disposal, as revealed by Le Parisien.

The Portuguese sports director has received a Bumper 10-year-old deal from the Saudi Arab Football Federation, worth € 200 million. His task at the Federation, if he accepts, would be to develop the national team, with a clearly explained objective for Saudi Arabia to reach the semi-final of the FIFA World Cup, which they will organize in 2034.

This contract was negotiated in Geneva last week. Campos, who has not yet made a final call for his future, did not sign the contract, but has until December 31, 2025 to do this. There is also contact from Arsenal and Chelsea, who both contacted the entourage of Campos. As part of the contingency planning, PSG contacted former sports director of Atletico Madrid, Andrea Berta.
