Pulisic slams rumors of rift with Milan coach as “unacceptable lies”

The American attacker denied reports from Italian media who claim that his relationship with Sérgio Conceição was tense.

Christian Pulisic has firmly denied all problems with AC Milan coach Sérgio Conceição and has made it clear that he did not tell management that he wants to leave.

After rumors about a gap after the exit from Milan's Champions League to Feyenoord this week, Pulisic clarified that he is happy in the club and commit himself to staying. He emphasized the importance of unity within the team and rejected the reports as “unacceptable lies”.

Crashing from the Champions League was an important blow to Sérgio Conceição and his team, who now have to concentrate on Serie A and the Coppa Italia, where they wait for their semi -final opponent (they will meet the winner of Inter vs Lazio).

One of the most important criticism of the Portuguese coach during the second stage against Feyenoord was his decision to replace important players such as Pulisic and Santiago Giménez at the start of the second half, despite the fact that they needed goals to the next round to go.

Immediately after the game, reports appeared in the Italian media, including La Repubblica, which suggests that Pulisic was unhappy with the coach, which led to speculation that Pulisic could find a transfer in the summer.

Pulisic responds to rumors about tension with Milan Coach

This Thursday, however, the official social media channels of Milan shared statements by Pulisic, who deny these reports and confirm that there are no problems with Conceição and that he is very happy in Milan.

“I never argued with the coach and I never asked to leave. I am very happy in Milan and want to keep wearing this sweater. Reading these lies is unacceptable, but let's all stay united and continue to fight together on the field, for the club and for our fans, “Pulisic explained in the statement.

What is the next step for Pulisic and AC Milan?

The Rossoneri returns this weekend to the Serie A promotion, opposite Torino. Then they have a match against Bologna next Thursday.

Both games are crucial because the team wants to jump back and strengthen their position in the competition table.

The following weekend they will organize Lazio in a potentially crucial match for securing European football next season. Lazio is currently in fifth place, while Milan is fighting to climb out of the seventh where they are at 41 points, one point away from Fiorentina in the sixth but with a competition in hand.
