Bryce Mitchell was convinced that he was chosen by God to beat Jean Silva on UFC 314.
Well, the #13 UFC candidate for featherweight was met on Saturday evening with a different fate and competed on the action-packed main map of UFC 314 from Miami.
A thriller in the main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes, a fight that received a lot of love this week, was not -bared, Jean Silva got a chance of ranked competition with Bryce Mitchell whose only pro loses are for Ilia Topuria and Josh Emmett.
Mitchell was very pronounced with his fighting with 'Demons' in the run -up to this fight, not housed with the barking Silva (yes, he barks at his opponents) and promises to put down the prospect on Saturday evening.
What we received was a clinical version on the ground and surprisingly not from the big grappler we saw, the legendary striker Edson Barboza kept down longer than Khabib Nurmagomedov … No, it was the time of Jean Silva to shine.
The Fighting Nerds star submitted Mitchell with a Ninja choke in the second round after having some success. Mitchell, however, tapped a bit too late when the American put unconscious on the canvas with Silva who barked him in the celebration.

Bryce Mitchell says that he is 'nothing more to give' in the loss of submission
This was a huge fight for Mitchell, the largest of his career in his words, but the veteran has previously experienced the loss of losses. “Thug Nasty” issued a statement after the loss below:
“I want to thank everyone for their support and let you know that I am fine,” said Mitchell in a video posted on Instagram.
“Thank goodness He has protected me.”
Silva had told pre-fight that he would spend brain damage to Mitchell and that he would retire him.
Mitchell mentioned no significant injuries and counted his blessings after the loss.
“I didn't lose my teeth. I don't have broken bones. So I feel good about that and I fought as hard as I could. I couldn't have fought more difficult.”
Mitchell went out in his career for the second time, his first against Josh Emmett in which he experienced convulsions after being eliminated.
Mitchell does not reflect as bad as that, after the loss and revealed his biggest regret.
“I could have fought smarter,” said Mitchell.
“I'm going to make some adjustments, but I mean, he put me asleep,” Mitchell raised again.
“So there was nothing to give anymore.
“I am happy that I know that I did my best, but I have to get better. So that's just the lesson that has been learned here, I have to get better.”
Bryce Mitchell: “God chose me to win this fight” …
Overwhelmed by enormous fans support during the Vechtweek, Mitchell says that he has never felt this kind of love before.
Mitchell claimed that he is healthy after the fight, so trust that this fight was his to win after a dramatic 'good vs. evil 'type of structure with Silva.
“I really thought I would win the fight. I believed it 100% because I had never had so great before, and I had something like that, wow. This fight is out of nowhere, got just as much hype.
“God chose me to win this fight, but that was not the case.”
Bryce Mitchell held a Stoic mentality after his last victory over Kron Gracie over UFC 310, not the highlights of the moment too much, knowing that the lows of losses can come at any time.
The UFC -Fedweight seems to be in a good mood after the loss in Miami.
