Rabiot set for France call-up as Ekitike could benefit from Muani’s woes

France National Team Manager Didier Deschamps will announce his squadron list for Les Bleus' upcoming World Cup D qualifications of Les Bleus on Wednesday. France will be confronted on Friday 5 September in Ukraine in the Wroclaw stadium in Poland. Four days later, France will organize Iceland in Paris Parc des Princes. RMC Sport understands that Deschamps will announce a broken team of 23 players.

The report adds that Deschamps is of the opinion that the period 'Oxygénation' period, which DESchamps saw the team expand with new players and testing new tactics, is good and really over. Given that France is in a group with four teams – with Ukraine, Iceland and Azerbaijan – the space for mistakes is small. Les Bleus needs results. The good news is that Deschamps can rely on a completely fitting team such as Stalwarts Dayot Upamecano, William Saliba and Jules Koundé will make their return after missing the final of the Nations League due to injury.

Liverpool's Ibrahima Konaté, Chelsea's Malo Gusto and Aston Villa's Lucas Digne is also expected to get the call, which means that Deschamps is expected between one of the Hernandez brothers for the second left berth. RMC Sport understands that Deschamps will choose five midfielders: Warren Zaire-Emy, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Mattéo Guendouzi, Manu Koné and Adrien Rabiot. The midfielder of Marseille has been transferred by Les Phocéens, but he continues to train and he retains the support of Deschamps.

Again, Deschamps can have a number of headaches given the many attacking options at his disposal. Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Michael Olise, Marcus Thuram and Désiré Doué will get the nod. The attacking midfielder of Manchester, Rayan Cherki, is expected to return to the France-fold after an impressive cameo from the bank against Spain in the semi-final of the Nations League.

As far as Hugo Ekitiké has hit the ground with three goals in so many matches with Liverpool, the Center-Forward “scoring points” remains in the eyes of the staff of France. The former Eintracht -striker from Frankfurt could be a story in view of the situation of Randal Kolo Muani. The striker trains away from PSG's first team team while his move to Juventus remains uncertain.
